Environmental Assessment and Consultancy
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a process to systematically determine, evaluate and manage the environmental impacts of various projects. This process is applied to activities with potentially significant environmental impacts such as large infrastructure and superstructure projects, industrial facilities, energy production plants (thermal, HEPP, GES, RES, GES etc.), mining activities etc.
The EIA process consists of a number of stages:
Project Presentation
First of all, basic elements such as the nature, size, location and purpose of the planned project are determined.
Identification of Environmental Impacts
The project's environmental impacts are analyzed to encompass possible effects on environmental factors such as water resources, soil, biodiversity, and air quality.
Assessment of Effects
The scope and severity of the identified environmental impacts are assessed. At this stage, factors such as potential risks and the extent, duration, and intensity of the impacts are considered.
Examination of Alternatives
Alternative approaches and location options for implementing the project are examined. This phase evaluates alternative solutions to minimize or prevent the environmental impacts of the project.
Identification of Possible Measures
Measures and actions that can be taken to reduce or mitigate the environmental impacts of the project are identified. These measures encompass the planning, construction, and operational phases of the project.
Preparation of the EIA Report and Sharing with the Public
All these analyses and findings are compiled and presented to the public in an EIA report. This report explains the environmental impacts, risks and precautions of the project in detail.
In addition to supporting the principles of environmental protection and sustainable development, the EIA process encourages public participation and transparency. This process allows projects to be planned and implemented in an environmentally sound manner and responsive to the needs of society.
The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has granted a "CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCE" for these studies to be carried out by ENVİROWELL ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY LIMITED COMPANY .
